To understand the language of the exposed…

It is a gift from God to understand the language of the exposed.

To read in someone’s eye and body the plea to not be condemned.

Let it be known that those who show Mercy shall obtain mercy.

The Holy who is named Mercy sees the hearts of all men.

For the outcast and diseased, the addicted’s endless need.

He is The One who really sees, He is the one who takes the lead.

His spoken Word will heal and satisfy the longing soul.

It is the Love of God who understands the language of the exposed.

The wind blowing all around me

I hear Him speak to me

He is sure of exactly what to say

In the language of Eternity

There you go

There you go down that road that leads to the same old pain.

Now you can only travel solo but there’s nothing you will gain.

This life you lead is yours to seize and no one can do it for you.

There you go behind your wall hiding all your clues

You shout because you cannot be brave and now you lose.

There you go again and I feel nothing now your gone.

How to Recognize a False Bible Teacher

Hyperbolic language: Proper Bible Teachers derive the passage’s authorial intent and arrive at a common meaning.

Direct Revelation from God: NO! God has said all He has to say to us through Jesus Christ, using the Holy Spirit to guide us to Jesus and in all Truth! God stopped speaking when He gave His Son, and all He has to say now is in His Word. Hebrews 1:1-2

Busywork: Fluff instead of exegesis.  Simply teach the passage verbatim.

Taking words and verses out of context: THIS is a BIG ONE! You cannot cherry pick words and verses randomly and unrelated to the main passage you are teaching. Usually spiritualizing and cherry picking occurs because someone never learned or knows proper hermeneutical methods to learning or teaching.

Softening understood Christian words and concepts: Instead of using words like sin, submit, repent, obey false teachers will use words like “wrong choices, cooperate with God, resist His direction.”

Legalistic warnings and scare tactics:  Telling people they “MUST DO, MUST TRY, MUST ACCOMPLISH to reap benefits of the Christian life. This is IMPOSSIBLE. If we are in Christ, we have Christ always and forever. Matthew 28:20

Quick Glance False teaching flags

  • Direct Revelation
  • Poor hermeneutic
  • Spiritualizing
  • Twisting verses, taking out of context
  • Man-centered
  • Legalistic
  • Overblown emotionalism and language (this usually hides the vacuousness of this person’s teaching.)

Through the dirty city mist…

He didn’t walk away from me  at Calvary

so I know he will never abandon me here.

I approach you my King without dread or fear.

To your Throne I am drawn which is adorned with your Grace

though the dirty city mist tries to fog my eyes and face

but I know these lies  are not true

so I choose to continue to worship You!

Won’t Be Long

Round and round the evil spins

traps young girls and kills young men

There is no right or wrong, no right or wrong.

Over and over inside my head I hear babies crying from the dead,

It’s been too long, it’s been too long.

The blood spills out, the drugs run in but we no longer call it sin,

can’t be long, it can’t be long.

Over and over inside my head I hear the words that Jesus said,

It won’t be long, it won’t be long.

Another Hard Goodbye

I have held you from the beginning

Your  innocence is a healing balm

Your laughter makes the world all right

Your smile gives peace and calm

You will not remember these infant days

When I rocked you in my arms

You will never know how you saved me

after my Mom was gone

I will not see you everyday

But you will still be my sunrise

I see your Mama in your face

and my Savior in your eyes

The Boulevard of Paper Chains

There are no more people on the boulevard

they have been locked away with paper chains

The humans became a commodity in exchange

the Truth has been lost in the game…

God have mercy on the boulevard

Bring your children home

Do not let these paper chains

bind our hearts stone cold…

Night So Long

I think I missed my cue

in the seismic gap between us.

The drama is widening it all the while.

There is a rawness in your eyes

burning ashes fill the sky.

The midnight train is passing by

is this my cue to cry?

A night so long and you move on

and I never say goodbye.
